Right Angle Prism (PRA)

Right Angle Prisms Diagram

Right Angle Prism, also known as image reflection/reflecting prism, is used to bend an input beam by 90° or 180° depending upon the entrance face. Two right-angled prisms when placed together are suitable for beam displacement applications.

Penta Prism (PPN)

A five-sided prism, Penta Prism has two reflective sides and is used to deviate a beam at the right angle without inverting or reversing the image. The 90° deviating angle does not change even if the prism is slightly adjusted. Hence, it is applicable in aligning the beam, laser leveling, and optical tooling.

The reserving or inverting of an image is done by a Roof Prism. Suitable for the applications where an inverted image from an object or turning the image side is desirable.

Dove Prism (PDV)

Dove Prisms are popularly known for rotating images. These are mostly used with a collimated beam for better performance. The image is rotated twice the angle of the prism when the rotation is around a longitudinal axis of the prism.

Corner Cube Retroreflector

Corner Cube Retroreflector is insensitive to the incident angle and follows the principle of total internal reflection. This retroreflector reflects the light back into the source even in the long distances. It is convenient to use in applications where an optical mirror is unsatisfactory.
