Description
Compared to a conventional spherical lens, the most significant advantage of the aspherical lens is that it can perform spherical aberration correction.
The aspheric lens allows the designer to correct the aberration with fewer optical lenses than the spherical lenses, so the optical system can be lower at cost and more compact in size.

Description
The Glass Cylindrical Lens is used to focus an incoming beam in a single focal line than at a single focal point, it comes with both positive and negative focal lengths. Wavelength Opto-Electronics can offer customized cylindrical lenses upon request.

Description (Plano-Convex & Plano-Concave)
This series of glass focusing lenses are made of BK7 (LBK) or Fused Silica (LFS); light enters from one side and exits from the opposite side. Its purpose is to modify the wavefront curvature of the light through the lens. Then, focus the laser beam onto a very small precise spot size so that it is widely used in engraving graphic images, welding metal pieces together, or cutting various types of materials. We have different coatings and materials for different wavelengths.
Description (Air Spaced)
The purpose of developing an Air Spaced Glass Focusing Lens is to minimize aberration and achieve the smallest spot size. The achromatic triplet focusing lenses are color corrected. Both working laser beam and inspection visible beam will focus on the same focus point or two closest ones.
Description (Achromatic Cemented)
These are cemented doublet lenses for 1064nm laser, as well as colour corrected for visible wavelength. They are made up of a combination of low dispersion crown glass and high dispersion flint glass. They are suitable for laser cutting and welding applications where a vision system is equipped.

Description
Axicon focus lenses have one conical surface and are used to produce a ring focus. Typically, axicon focus lenses have a second flat surface and are used in combination with a focusing lens.
Our high-grade ZnSe Axicon lenses are made from a manufacturing process suited to the axicon angle and the accuracy required. For small angle, high accuracy lenses, the manufacturing process involves diamond-machining.

Description
ZnSe Plano-Convex cylindrical focusing lens (LZCY) & Plano-Concave cylindrical focusing lens (LZCY). Cylindrical focusing lenses are either round or rectangular objects with cylindrically shaped surfaces. They differ from spherical lenses in that they focus a beam on a focal line rather than a focal point. Its applications include laser scanners, laser diode systems, spectrophotometers, projectors and optical data storage and retrieval systems.

Description
ZnSe Plano-Convex Lenses (LZ) has a positive focal length and are used to focus a collimated beam to small spot size. ZnSe Plano-Concave (LZ) lenses have a negative focal length and are used for diverging collimated beams. The curved surfaces of these lenses should face the source to minimize spherical aberration.
Positive Meniscus Convex-Concave (LZM) Lenses are converging lenses being thick at the center and thin at the edges and produce real images. The radius of the curvature of the concave side is greater than the convex side of the lens. The convex side of the lens should face the source to minimize spherical aberration. It is designed to minimize spherical aberration and produce minimum focal spot size for incoming collimated light.
