Dichroic Mirrors

Dichroic mirrors are filters that selectively transmit a certain wavelength range of light while reflecting another wavelength based on their coating layers’ properties.

FAQ

Dichroic mirrors work by using interference effects. In a dichroic filter, alternating layers of optical coatings with different refractive indices are coated on a glass substrate. The wavelength range to be transmitted/reflected can be tuned by correctly designing the thickness and number of the layer
